As the summer days draw to a close and the excitement of a new school year approaches, Valley Springs Rehabilitation and Health Center in Van Buren, Arkansas, made it a priority to ensure that all our employees and their families are well-prepared. We organized a fun and meaningful day dedicated to sorting and distributing school supplies to each student gearing up for the upcoming year.
This event was more than just about school supplies—it was about fostering a sense of community and connection. Our beloved elders played a vital role in the day’s activities, helping to hand out the supplies and sharing some of their timeless wisdom with the younger generation. The laughter and conversations between our elders and the children were heartwarming to witness, creating memories that will last far beyond the first day of school.
One of our cherished elders, Ruth Freeman, who proudly graduated high school in 1944, offered her sage advice to the students: “Study, work hard, and look for better things in life.” Her words resonated deeply with everyone present, reminding us all of the value of perseverance and ambition.
We are incredibly thankful for the wisdom shared by our elders and for our dedicated employees who work tirelessly every day to provide the best care for them. As we look forward to the new school year, we are proud to support our Valley Springs family and ensure that both our elders and their loved ones are set up for success.
Here's to a fantastic school year ahead, filled with learning, growth, and cherished moments together!
